Drowning

Maybe loving him was worth it

Being in his arms, the touch of his skin, his lips on mine

Maybe the heartbreak, the tears, the pain is the price to pay. The price for loving the wrong person

Always knowing in my heart that it would never last,

But letting never letting go even if the other person has

Drowning in my sorrow as I watch him let someone else become his happiness

Acting like nothing is wrong but spending every moment of everyday trying not to cry

Loving him for who he was not who he has become is good enough reason to let go but I still manage to convince myself

that maybe it can go back to how it was.

That is the worst part of all, being hopelessly in love with the wrong person.

But maybe loving him was worth it.
