Drowning

I feel like I’m drowning

Drowning in a pool of sadness and grief

Something is weighing me down

Pulling me down

Deeper and deeper into the pool

And no matter how hard I try I can’t swim up to the top and catch a breathe

I need to breathe

For once I just wanna breathe.
