drowning
But yet still, here I am-
drowning
Such a funny thing
Drowning really
Oh how I wish I could swim
Float even-
I sink
Falling just short of the surface
feeling the last bits of air
leaving my lungs
Like the thoughts that float around my mind
But never make it to my mouth
Drowning letting all the words pull me-
closer and closer to the bottom
Until I finally-
sink.

Primarily personal struggle with drowning metaphor; some abstract anxiety elements.
Multiple interconnected ideas: drowning, speechlessness, internal/external disconnect packed densely.
Strongly negative: drowning, sinking, suffocation, helplessness, inability to communicate.
Urgent, accelerating language with dashes; descent toward bottom creates kinetic pull.
Approximately 14 lines; falls in 7-15 range.
Extended drowning metaphor; simile comparing thoughts to floating elements; personification of words.
Pure lyric internal monologue; direct first-person emotional voice; no narrative or dramatic shift.
