Drowning Voice
With spoken words comes spoken thoughts and dreams
For the love some people give and receive comes soundless
It's without a single syllable that makes a darkened face radiate light
As the yearning chords in my throat die to alert the world
But without a voice, all it takes is a step
And another
And the raise of a hand to caress the torn souls with a faint glimmer in their eyes
Action takes hold of those around
The softest voice seems drowned in the world of hatred and war
However, the largest embrace materializes in that single step, that single strut, that single stride
To prove, prove the world that a meaningless sound, a meaningless thought in a vast world
It will hold strong if that voice resonates to the tips of your fingers
Your toes
The ends of your hair
You and me, live in a dying world
