Drowning Within

It is not that deep

It will cool you off

It makes my hard shell become soft

The dangers of the big blue

The one that cleanse you

The one that holy blesses

Only finds a way to intimidate

To make me shake

To make me run

Sit on the bench in the burning sun

The classes that were useless

The water filling up my lungs

Only came out in the tears I cried

Learning how to dive

Being able to tread and stay afloat

The skills that made me frown

The reason that I get on slides

I know I will not drown
