Drowning Without You

One day we felt like

We were standing

On top of the world,

Hand in hand and blushing hard,

The next thing we knew,

We were lying on the sandy floor

Of the ocean

Like the Titanic,

Sunk and drowned and far apart,

Our hearts were like the great big ship

That sunk and fell apart at sea,

Landing miles and miles and miles away.

I have been writing poetry for 5 years now and I have a collection of over 600 original poems I've made. I submitted a poem to Appelley Publishing and was published in the 2018 addition of their poetry book. I love to read and write, and I have a cat and a hamster.
