Drowning...Gosh....I'm Only 18!

My mind. My brain. My thoughts. My emotions. My regrets. My disappointments. My failures. I'm drowning in every single one of them, and I'm trying to get air so I can breathe....but I can't....gosh, I'm only 18!.... When one of my problems is finished, another one comes hurling over. Nobody understands the pain...every morning I wake up and wonder why I am still here. I just don't want to have to deal with life's messed up issues. I'm drowning as every comment comes flowing in - because the bad always comes with the good. Make 'em stop! I'm broken....and life is passing me by. I have little to no desire to do this anymore. What am I doing? I'm drowning, and I need someone....gosh, I'm only 18!... Though these thoughts and emotions keep coming, there is one I will cling to ~ That I am Christ's and His child and He is mine! I know that Jesus is The Way. The Truth. The Life. (John 14:6) Amen! Soli Deo Gloria!!

Just tryna' write poetry that always glorifies God and who He is, what he has done for me, and what He can and will do for you! If God can transform my life, I know without a doubt he can transform yours too! You are NEVER too far gone, or broken for God! Come to Jesus just as you are and give your life to him and watch the change happen when you turn to Jesus and live for Him!! Being a Christian is never easy, just as life isn't easy, but our only hope is in Jesus Christ the one and only!!

This poem would've been written in 2024. I just didn't put it online for the longest time because I felt too vulnerable and worried to share it online.

I am now 19, and when I wrote this poem, I was in a really tough time in my life, and it seemed like all was falling apart all around me. Through all of it and even through that time of my life when I look back, I can see God's hand in it all and how he was always there, I just wasn't looking or crying out to God and seeking truth from God's Word. Through it all, God has been good, and he always will be!

God is good all the time, and all the time God is good!!!
