drown/loving you

i can't make you love me

if loving you is like

loving the bottom of the ocean

you can never reach it.

and if you ever try,

you end up drowning.

i'm tired of the rain

i'm tired of waiting for the sun

i'm tired of reaching for something

i could never get to

because what's the point of looking

for something

that doesn't want

to be found,

or something that was

never there

to begin with?

how can i reach you?

how do i stop myself from

drowning over and over

again

just to get to you?
