DRUNK

Dozing off continuously
The feeling of euphoria is contantly close
You feel all the facial stretches
Eyes squinting
Heart beating
Voice high-pitched
Happiness, that's what it's called
It's such an old friend, passed by only a couple of times
Waved at me and knocked on my neighbors door
I kept asking myself
When is he to visit me?
-He didn't plan to come-
I invited him
Sat down with him
Had a coffee and asked
"Why is it you never visit?"
The answer I recieved left me perplexed
He, with his soft features and warm smile said:
"Oh but my dear, I have. You've just ignored my presence."
"Why have I aknowledged you now then?" I asked
"Because you need me, you crave me, you love me and you've let me."
I've always wondered what caused me to let him,
to see him now, explicitly.
A man, I've met a man.
