Drunk Love

He drinks whiskey

She prefers rum

Motivated by the same desires

Crippled by the same demons

A love born in a bar

Love might be a stretch

Dependence might be the truth

It feels the same when you're wasted

Sex they'll never remember

Plans they'll never go through with

Fights they'll never come back from

Like broken glass on wine-stained counters

Something beautiful tarnished forever

Drunk hearts can still break

Drunk words can still bruise

Drunk love now drunk hate
