Drunk Texting

Hey, it’s me

I just wanted you to see

How happy I can be

Now that you let me free.

I just wanted to know

I never could let go

You were my best though

You sleep in my head

Filling it with regret and dread -

We have so much left unsaid.

I just wanted to know

I miss you terribly so

Such much to you I owe.

From midnight talks

To long playful walks

From freezing together

To wet lips, sealing fate forever

I hate you for leaving me in love.

I love you for everything we were.
