Dry Mouth

You talk with your friends

But spare all meaningful word.

Your mouth runs wild,

And no points are heard.

Must you continue,

To tire your tongue

And peaceful quiet

To constantly shun?

You can’t enjoy one’s presence

In the absence of your voice.

You must converse;

Spoil the calm with your noise.

Make an enemy of silence

And how can you ever be alone;

You live out your sentence,

Reap the loudness you’ve sown.
