Dull

So many options But everything is dull Everything is the same When will something magnificent pop up? When will something defy expectations? When will something be mine for me to keep? And hold… And love… Nothing have I now that is mine alone, Or even mine at all, Even the skin on my back belongs to a higher being. But my arms ache, And my chest clenches, My brain keeps me in check As it reminds me: Everything is dull anyways.
