During The Night
During the night I feel an urge,
Wishing you would suddenly emerge.
Wanting to just be in your arms,
To take me away from the world’s large harms.
During the night I feel content
Thinking of you- with all our time spent
Wishing we could just run away,
I'm really hoping that can happen, maybe someday.
During the night I feel all-alone,
Thinking of my love for you, hoping that it’s shown.
Wanting to just hold you tight,
Hoping you could be in my sight.
During the night I wish I could wake,
To your beautiful eyes, for goodness sake.
I want to be married to you, my handsome man,
I will give you everything, I truly, truly can.
During the night I feel really proud,
Knowing that I did what I vowed.
Wanting to do all I can,
To prove to you that you are my only plan.
365 days… way more to go,
I’m not sure you know this...
But you had me at hello.
