Dusk

I sit in remembrance

of those veins of a sunset

that crept fast across a once blue sky,

The hands of dusk which showed their cards

and then made a sly retreat.

It was, in its lifetime,

a mere passing fable,

its colors ever-susceptible to change.

Many a metaphorical sunset this world provides,

a moment here and gone too soon.

Yet, just like the sun, you're sure to find one every day;

if you only know when and where to look.
