Dusk's Domain

It's not the place of in-between,

Nor the place where souls scream

Night is, as night does

Not in this world, or the one above

For if you stay, you just might find

By dawn's break, you've lost your mind

There is no sun, no stars, no shine

In this desert wasteland, now mine

It's not the place where beasts fear to tread

But the land where men's feet turn to lead

I wrote this poem forever ago; it was the first one I'd ever written that wasn't forced on me due to a school project. I wrote it because I wanted do, without having to be graded or obligated. I as actually surprised by how much I enjoyed writng poetry. I am far more honest and expressive in my poems than I am verbally; it's a way for me to write out all my feelings. I loe it so much, and I'm really happy to share it with others. Thank you for this opportunity!
