Dust

All these words I write in vain For no one ever cares to hear A silent song or lonely tear Shed for all the broken years And shattered hearts And unknown fears These words I write You hear them now But years from now There'll be no sound As my words fade to dirt and ground Forgotten pieces of my life The faded colors of his eyes The love that used to burn so bright Will vanish soon Soon you'll forget So listen now Take in the dawn Take in the light Take in the sun Before it's gone.
