Dwelling Upon The Forgotten

Tonight never happened, I can try to forget Forget the happiest time of my life Forget the smile the smile that grew upon you face as our lips touched Forget the fact that my world was perfect for the first time but this never happened I never asked you out or heard a yes come out your mouth I never got so close to you that my heart raced the whole time I never told you i loved you for the millionth time and felt your hand intertwine with mine as you say it back but even as I tell myself that all this never happened everything else tells me it has My heart, my mind, my body, my soul all tell me Tell me to fight for what I want, what I have always wanted Always needed and felt was right for the last two years You said it yourself; I have been trying for about two years and the moment I have you in my grasp a dude comes along and you slip away like sand through my hands and I think: Am I really that stupid that even though you break my heart I still find a way to crawl back? Crawling back like I'm half alive beat so bad yet I still hang on because there is so much at stake I cant let this relationship die I wont let it So this night really did happen and it will stay in my mind eventually grow cause rather than the actions that took place I want the words that exchanged to remain so vivid and bright like a fresh tattoo So I will keep this day from being forgotten and leave it alone, unchanged and unaltered Its a mental list of my love for you Something I could never forget...
