dying to be loved

You say you want love

No, you say you need love

Love from me

Love from us

You say you crave the feeling of being loved by me

Yet when I feel loved by you

It’s a constant reminder of pain

A constant brokenness in my soul

You say you live for me

Well I am dying for you

I give my life so willingly

To be loved

To be anything more

To be you

Is life so unfair that it grants immunity to your enemy

It serves you vulnerable like a roast duck

Is the burden of power to great to seek

Do you willingly give up freedom to be with me?

You are a light in the dark

A speculation for some theory

You are a key in the door

Left wide open with secrets to devour

Like Hors d oeuvres served cold

A disgusting appetizer

Left out for seconds

You are my biggest flaw

You served my secrets raw

Yet somehow you say I broke the mold

Well cheers to my brokenness that makes us whole

Wonderfully written... I instantly fell for the line "Well I am dying for you". Speaks volumes...
