Dying Dream

As I walk through this barren forest Where the wicked trees, who I swear one may say the faces of the damned in Over shadow me, do I feel a presence. As I see you ahead of me I run right after you yet you disappear in a blink of my eyes. I turn to see where you may have gone yet all I see is a empty path ahead As I hear your laughter down this path I head straight in Blindly as the fool I am I search for you yet all that surrounds me is a thick layer of fog. As I scream out your name all I feel is but a cold touch on my shoulder. As I look to the floor I see what I had done. I shed a tear as you rested before my feet dressed in velvet As this hand rested on me I followed it without question for the death of my dream was by my own hands.
