Dying Flower

Am I good?
Am I bad?
I don't laugh at my own jokes
I laugh at someone else's

For the sake of their happiness
Not for the sake of mine
I'm stuck in the beauty of loneliness
Always making words rhyme

In the night I hear people stab me
Whispering that I wasn't good for I don't discipline myself well
Which was true and man did that ring one more bell

Despair embraced me once again and people chose to ignore me
Even the elderly are as honest as the little ones
So, when I appear by your door, don't see what I appear to be
For I am as sensitive as the little ones

Passing these phases, it feels so eternal
Crawling in my veins, strolling down my face disguised as tears
I've been like this for years

I'm not the girl with long, beautiful hair
I'm not the girl who was always cared for
I'm not able to look fair as everyone looked fair
And because of that my eyes begin to sore

They don't know, they don't know
They don't know as I grow
Let the wind give its stormy blow
Until my body is all it will throw
