Dysphoria

You don't know me

You don't understand

Little things are controlled

Like my actions are planned

The Devil gripping for life

On my chest and my hips

My pain taking over me

Like a total eclipse

"It's just a phase"

Say doctors to this day

But no matter what they say

The pain is here and it'll stay

Dysphoria, dysphoria

What an evil word it can be

I'm waiting out the day

Until I am finally set free

Gripping and emotional. This is a very expressive poem, well written with rich rhymes and harrowing images. I am familiar with the word euphoria- so dysphoria must be its opposite, something like severe depression. If this is based on reality, I hope you find help, but thank you for the honesty and sharing, shedding light on the topic.
