Each Day That I Awake!

Each day thati awake,

I wonder what will be my fate

Will I make it home to those who have love for me,

or will I end up in the news as a street tragedy

Maybe my boss will come to work,

deciding to be an asshole instead of a jerk

Or maybe I will be caught on the train,

arguing over a seat with an absolute lame

While I can’t always see what’s placed in front of me,

i have been taught to say a prayer before my feet hit the floors cold air

But these feelings in my soul continue to bake,

each and every day as I awake
