Each Must be One


I could have told you.

I could have told you that she wasn't ready.

She doesn't know how 1+1=2

because you are 1 person,

and she is only 1/2 of a person yet.

I could have told you.

I could have told you she couldn't be your other half

because she hasn't found the other half

of herself yet.

Wait.

Now you both are hurting and bitter,

This is how I knew it'd end because

1+1/2 does not make 2.
