In Each Other's Arms

He makes me feel safe

no stress, no fear, no harm,

our hearts beating at the same pace.

"Because I love you..." I say

as we sit and wait

growing old in each other's arms.

"I will stay close to you 'til the end of days."

I complete my thought.

He smiles, and says

"And I will remain by your side, my greatest friend."

I cannot imagine there is a love unlike this.
