Each Person
In a healthy relationship,
each person makes the other person happy
but is not responsible for the other’s happiness.
Each person with unique interests invites the other to try new things
but never tries to make the person change.
Each person can state his opinion or share his feelings
but must listen respectfully as the other expresses his own.
Each person should make time to be together
but give the other person space for other interests.
Each person should make the other laugh
but be there for support through a tough time.
Each person should be trustworthy,
no buts about it.
Each person should love unconditionally;
there should be no strings attached.
Each person should never use “Because I love you...” to get the other to act,
but rather, it should be the motivation that prompts one’s own actions.
