Early Bird

Without these filters

I

Am

Human.

The pain that I feel

Emotional or physical

Is real

The laughter I have

Comes from the core of my stomach

My dreams remain real

They remain vivid

And I hide myself behind books.

Words engulf me

Forming this whole new world

In which I have never been

But I long for adventure.

The adventure I read about in these books

I wish to meet new people

See new places

I long for that warm breeze

And if you do too

Join me

Because

We

Are

Human.

And our lives co-exist

We live on this earth

We shouldn’t live behind our phone screens

Seeing artificial faces

Hiding behind Early Bird filters

Behind Black and white

We are capable of so much more than

Man Crush Mondays

And Throwback Thursdays

We should be making new memories

New memories to look back on

I want fresh air and adventure

I want to see real beauty

Not nature photographs taken by others

My dreams are real

My face has flaws

My happiness is ideal

Because

I

Am

Human

And so are you.
