Early Rays

The wide mouth of yawning houses sent their owners out into the world

Away from the security and comfort of their beds and blankets,

the pawns did nothing but endured

For hours on end they resume their toil

Trying to climb from common to royal

Just to, at the comin of night, feel a warmer cacoon holding them tight
