Earning it alone

Start off young with hopes of going big

but people put you down snap it like a twig

keep going keep trying they dont matter

my dream is to be on tv and strike out that last batter

grow up fast child hood wont wait

put on medicine because you always stay up late

its the usual to have seperated parent now

now all I want is to make it and have my own house

A teenager a rebel a bad kid

say please thank you hold open the door and thats it

graduation day comes and life is about to start over

hope for the best in college maybe take four leaf clovers

im half small town kid half cowboy

going to a big town im really going to prove a point

offered scholarships to play sports that i was in

now I want to be the white coat that sells you medicine

going to class every day with that college struggle

my parents weren't lying when they said life will burst my bubble

I really need to prove my self but for that i have to buy books

hoping for some help and this is where to find it from the looks

Im not a rapper but i wrote this to powerpoetry.org

now my best shot is to hope and pray to the lord
