To: Earth


Dear 

 Earth, 

 Sorry 

for the pain, 

 for the torture. 

 It was our job to preserve you. 

 How could we fail so greatly at such a simple task? 

 Using you for all of your beauty and resources; giving back nothing in return. 

If only we had changed how we treated you sooner. 

 Then just maybe, you would be safe 

 and protected.
