Earth Day - She lives on

Is this the world we live in?

One where poverty has stricken the lands of many nations that was once rich in life?

I know there is a means to grow from famine

I know there are individuals who get a sweet taste of their own sin and turns out it was much bitter than anticpated

I know this world is so full of hurt that Mother Earth looks back and wonders where her children took the wrong turn

I ALSO know that there is beauty within all things in nature

Once where the trees stood tall in majesty now stands fire devastation that in turn brings vegetation

for mother earth does not falter on our part, we do.

I see the the red robins circling the ravine in seach of shoots for its nest

She lives on through through the birds, the minnows, and the dragonflies

I see the breeze take away emotional bliss and pain within the sail of a leaf in a single breeze of a wind

She lives on in spite the strain and courage that takes place inside a rock flowing in space

for mother earth does not falter, she will be re-newed

She lives on
