Earth, my everything

To whom it may concern:

Love for the earth is not a feeling to be disregarded.

If you have ever spun around, trying to take it all in more fully,

made a fool of yourself by screaming to mark a moment,

hugged a tree and felt it hug you back;

if the invisible line where the earth meets the sky has ever rendered you breathless,

you, too are a little in love with your home.

And believe me, there is little doubt that this can save you.

You do not need to prostrate yourself

You do not need to censor yourself

The divine is you just as much as you are it and every other living thing.

Find a mirror in the world,

gaze upon your very own magnificence

and give yourself the love and respect you deserve.

What gives me the right to preach in this manner?

I know this because love for a certain something

Has shown me how I am filled with love for the world at large.
