Earthbound Angel

You’re a twisted lying creature,

On my world you’re just an ugly feature.

I trusted you and gave you my heart,

And you tortured it and tore it apart.

You simply walked away,

I almost died that day.

You left me hurt and all alone,

That day your true face was shown.

Over the years my heart slowly healed,

I kept to myself, my heart nicely sealed.

After many years I saw a different angle,

And I found my earth-bound angel.

He taught me to love again,

And reminded me what I could gain again.

But then you came back into town,

And started treating him like a clown.

You wanted me to come back,

Told me that you have what I want and lack.

Then I walked up to you and told you to get out,

But you decided to get mad and shout.

I decided if all you will do is shout and scream,

That this will no longer be part of my dream.

So I took myself and my and my earth-bound angel,

And left you to see the world at a different angle.
