Earth's Canvas

Colors dripping down the canvas
Blending into a solid line
A gentle breeze rushing the drops
To one side
Then the crosswind
Brushing the drops to the other
A pattern of nature
A pattern of color
The soft touch of many hands
Brushing the drops away
To form one line
A line where all colors come together
From the sands of Mexico
Across the globe
To Europe, Asia, Africa, America
There are artists of all kinds
Who know the secrets of their art
The blending of the colors
The touch of their hands
To form one beautiful color
Made up of all the colors
All the unique colors that define who we are
One color that brings us all together
They paint blue and green
The earth we live in
But it is our job to create the other colors
The colors that fill the earth
The colors that blend to make us one.
One human race.
