Earth’s Fragile Balance

Earth’s Fragile Balance The ozone layer Protects us all The Earth With green grass Wet in the early morning dew Crops That grow tall and plentiful With a bumper harvest Our home The wide, blue oceans rise and fall, Connecting lines that feed us all, But rising heat and shifting tides, Leave nowhere for the land to hide. Our responsibility Our place The gift given to us To be treated with care Now treated with discontents And now No protection No green grass No bumper harvest Hunger Poverty And death
