At Ease

A mind that we independently own

Makes emotions that are unknown

Yet I feel a happiness through my body

When I think about anybody

Who won some scholarship money

It gives me hope

It gives me pleasure

Making myself believe

That my parents for once can be at ease

For them to be happy and worryless

By not spending  a dime

For my success and happiness

A true smile on their face

An emotion in their brain

That can not be described

With out them saying

" That is my daughter,

Walking down the graduating aisle"
