Ease Your Mind

How you did it, I just don’t know

You are so much stronger than I

If I had to go through what you did

I know I would just die

Y’all were close, I know it’s true

So when she died, it left bruises on you

You carry on as if nothing has changed

But I feel like you’re hiding a heart that’s heavy and chained

I could help your pain I’m sure

Maybe even help you remember her?

The cancer made it long and slow

A pain that we both do not know

If I had to loose what you now are without

I would be lost without a doubt

I wish I got to know her better

I whisper to her about you, if only I could hear her whisper back

She was your rock, as you are mine

Darling open up to me, and ease your mind
