In the East

Cancer.

So big,

Yet so small.

Tiny cells massed together

Like penguins in a storm.

Villians on the inside

Looking for a home.

Not me

But another.

A situation far worse

Than if it were I.

But on the inside

There is a light.

One that shines

To fight the plight.

A dream to rid the world

Of this horrid thing.

There will be a day

When all of this is over

And the world is more at peace.

Today is not the day,

But it's rising in the East.
