Easter

He rested in his tomb, not a soul in sight.
Refusing to die, He was going to fight.

Holes in His hands, but an ever beating heart;
The resurrection was about to start.

They searched in the resting place of our Lord Jesus.
They immediately knew, He had freed us.

Every single one of His promises were kept,
Humanity rejoiced, he no longer slept.

On the third day this was named Easter;
And the student finally became the teacher.

Apostle Peter was overcome with hope;
He began to preach, so listeners could cope.

Jesus was a healer, our Lord and Savior;
And in our hearts, He is our neighbor.

Peter denied Jesus three times, and was forgiven,
You can be too, He is Risen.
