Easy Way Out

(poems go here) Death is a fear not many can face, Though some welcome it with an open embrace. The comfort of being done with life, And not putting up with everyday strife. But there is also a fear that you didn’t achieve, Everything you were taught to believe. Hopes and dreams go down the drain, Along with friends you may never see again. What happens to your family when you’re gone? Do you expect them to just move on? You will never know how your life could have been, If you always let those dark feelings win. The future is something no one can predict, And the point of life is to overcome conflict. Just because you always have doubts, Doesn’t mean you take the easy way out. Don’t let things like drugs take over your mind. You may think they’re good, but that makes you blind For I know, what others can’t see. Life is a test, and what we do is the key. So push all the darkness out of your way And let only the good thoughts stay. Though being on Earth takes a strong heart. Death is easy, living is the hardest part.
