Eating out

Ecclesiastes 5:5

5 Better not to vow than to vow and not pay.

Eating out with more folks than I expected

Going to a fine restaurant looking for a treat

Someone brings a menu and the prices make me crunch

Somewhere in my thoughts, I feel like a cheat

As I search for a way out before the knockout punch

Give me Long John Silver or maybe Taco Bell

I got myself in this mess and there is no way out

Yes I made a promise as you can surely tell

As my chosen company are acting with some clout

Should I fake amnesia or simple burp out loud?

Should I lick my wounds as I have not even ordered?

As I start to stutter in the middle of this crowd

Should I give up my destiny and just flee to the border
