The Eccentric Celebration
Blow out the candle,
Fathom the darkness,
Embrace the Earth as it's meant to be.
Watching the ghosts of your past
Shadow your doorstep,
Knowing there's new life for you to see.
I feel infinite,
I feel like I could die,
I feel like it would be okay.
When odds are against us,
Man versus nature
We prosper.
And oh
What a bitter sweet ending to come
When your time is up,
Once your bell has rung, because
Death is such a beautiful thing once you've lived.
And I will grieve,
And I will cry,
But not when I die.
It's not because I have a morbid soul
But 'cause I'll know that it's my time to go.
So take a breath and accept.
You don't need harshness to project.
"The drop of blood that's calm proclaims me bastard."
One man's ignorance is another man's disaster.
Just because a life ended
It doesn't mean yours did too;
But do you ever forget them,
But don't let it control you.
Why is it so feared when it's encountered every day?
Death of the minute,
Death of the hour,
Death of the known,
And Death of the stray.
I'm not saying I'm perfect,
I'm not saying I'm ready,
I just want this mindset to be calm and to be steady.
But with sonder you hold
Your heart will grow old
And all you'll have is what's in front of you.
But that will go too
And you'll be alone
Until you find
A new heart for your home.
And when my swan song is sung
Don't honor my body;
Honor my soul,
My body is just a lobby.
I want to be remembered,
I want to change a life,
So I can't go now
For there are no wrongs I've made right.
I want my death to be beautiful.
