Echo
The final words of others,
deformed beyond recognition,
foolishly repeated,
spread like dust, echoed through time.
Reflecting the ideas,
distorted and corrupted,
of another with a mind.
Blinded by beauty, we are transfixed
in a time not our own.
Begged to advance, we stay still,
enchanted by the magic
of our archaic ideals.
