The Echoer

the echoer

you don’t have anything else to say?

i tire of being repeated

if i wanted to have a conversation with myself

I could have just looked in a mirror

even that one person monologue would be something new

an argument or a different point of view

something contrary

something to make me laugh

do you have an opinion?

any thought of your own?

maybe I just can’t hear them

when all you ever say

has already been said

just moments before

i hope you know it pisses me off

your unoriginal spiel

higher than a mumble but quieter than anything that requires passion to make it alive

i feel bad for you

any animation in your speech is trapped in your head

maybe it’s because you’re still young

still learning in early stages

your wings haven’t grown in fully

which is why all you ever seem to do is hover

i pity whatever did or didn’t happen in your life to make you such

an echoer.
