Echoes of the Everlasting

 Unfinished sentences loom
 In the gathering gloom.
There's a madman in my mirror,
 I've seen him there before...

 Nonsense words
 & nonlinear thoughts -
 These things are me.

 In the fool's reflection
 One's own face is unfamiliar,
 As if life were seen
 Through someone else's eyes.

 The shadow of existential doubt
 Falls over our minds,
Clouding it and causing us to worry
About the coming of eternal night.

 Forget the night,
Live each day as though it were your last.
 Cherish every moment & strive
To make more meaningful memories -
They may be all we have
As we echo through the everlasting.
