Echoes of Us by Jameion Harrell
We were two sparks in a quiet storm,
dancing where thunder forgot to roar.
You said love was the calm before the rain,
but I only learned how to drown in the waiting .
Your laughter once filled every corner of my chest,
A song I swore the wind would never forget .
Now silence hums the tune we left behind,
And I hum along just to feel alive
If love is fire , heartbreak is its smoke
It lingers long after the light is gone.
I still see you in every sunsets blush,
but the warmth no longer reaches me.
So ill gather the remains of the ashes ,
And build something softer from the remains.
Because even the heart that breaks
Still knows how to love again.

Your Poem's Voice
Personal heartbreak narrative with some universal philosophical moments about love and healing.
Multiple distinct ideas per 10 lines: sparks/storm, love/drowning, fire/smoke, rebuilding—moderately dense.
Melancholic but hopeful ending; grief-centered with redemptive closure balances emotional tone.
Metaphorical intensity (fire, thunder, storm) with meditative passages; builds toward active reconstruction.
Approximately 20 lines; falls within 16-30 line range.
Rich metaphors: sparks, fire/smoke, drowning, song, sunset, ashes. Highly ornamented language throughout.
Pure lyric internal voice; introspective first-person reflection on personal loss and resilience.
