Eco-Friendly

The seagull you chased away for trying to steal your french fries leaves hungry, hungry enough to see how plastic tastes Plastic made with oil instead of hydro, wind, solar, cellulose don’t tell there aren’t options, because we all know that isn’t true Alternative energy is too expensive, have you seen gas prices lately? While we’re busy fighting the sun is still shining but you’d rather build guns instead of solar panels It’s not fair to say nothing needs to be done. The hole in the ozone keeps growing fed by an endless supply of pollution, and by burning the oil we fought for we contaminate the very air we breathe, the air we have to live with and the trees responsible for replenishing our oxygen are rewarded with clear cuts Separating them from this earth that we seem so intent on destroying Tress fall to the ground and you might think it was because they were like giants who were tired of standing but that isn’t true. The tress fall to ground as if they had lost their balance swayed by this insanity we call just business. And while we waste our resources the environment we should be helping is suffering traveling down a road that’s so dark a path of destruction a path paved with loss like tar that’s responsible for taking the place of grass. When the dolphin swims into the cove it kisses the sand of the beach goodbye driven closer to land it has no where else to go, because the oil spill is already closing in. John Marsden said “we kill all the caterpillars, then complain there are no butterflies” if only we had listened sooner.
