Eden's Plumage

Was it her plumage, her tail or even her eggs-
that got him standing in line waiting to carve?
Even Eden couldn't crumble this fast into dregs-
yet there he was tearing through her with such verve!
Little did she know, she lived with yeggs
who had no code or gratitude even for those who serve!
Now that crutches have taken the place of her legs-
they have made a living from gloating at her in every swerve!
And as the knife cut through her neck blood gushed with oeuvre-
from her tail's flight feathers like colors falling from negs!
Down with them came her years of sacrifice and love!
Did she not know that sentiments are tangled threads-
destined to be gunned down by greed's mirv?

CNQT

Poetry is a form of passionate expression kindled by an impression unbound by public conviction. I write mainly from two genres : impressionism and symbolism. Choose me or leave me, I'm not a backup plan and definitely not a second choice! Not everyone likes me but then again not everyone matters. What matters is peace and the feeling of being content. Every person is a book, this is just the place to share some pages from my book. Peace!
