On Edge

On the brink of my end

What more can I take

Time seems to speed pass

As my mind changes pace

How much is left,

For my sanity clock

It must be running out,

Tic Toc, tic toc.

Woe is me

Victim of this corrupt society,

Trying to find, who I am, who I'll be

Fading in and out of my mind to what appears to be reality

The selfishness of my peers

Blends with their pointless complaints

How much can be handled by my sanity clock

No more, endure no more

Tic toc, tic toc

Surrounded by ignorance

Slowly killed by hate

I only choose to love

But I guess in this society, of all things, love can wait

A desire to spread the world with passion

Change views of the state

Is my timing abrupt?

Afraid it may already be too late.

The things that make me tick

Are too relevant in time today

Hate, incompetance, immoral individuals, in the society I reside

How I wonder what is in store,

For my sanity clock

I fear I may lose it all

Tic toc, tic toc

What makes me tick is time running about,

Stressing to get a job done

Not being successful in my future

Because my time ran out

Those who are concerned about the newest fad,

Newest clothes, shoes, phone, or IPad,

Complain about how hard life is when they dont receive,

A child less fortunate, who cant even afford a new bottle of water,

Has lesser complaints yet theyre the one in need

The one with major problems

That child in need,

Wont ever cross their mind,

The children of greed.

Wanting to drift away

To put my mind on a lock

I dont know how much is in store

For my sanity clock

I feel the end is near,

Tic toc, tic toc
