Edges of Tomorrow

Wars are raging The ground quaking Splinrering apart Band-aids fraying As they extend beyond elasticity Arrows soaring to and fro Piercing jagged holes into the soul Debris flying Shattering the tinted windows of your eyes Battering ram slamming Dismantling the enclosed walls Roof caving in from above A blinding light greets you One final chance to truly see Demons grasping at you Dragging you back into the world of the blind Your heart begins to patter an erratic beat Is this true insanity you wonder You succumb to a feeling of euphoria and rebellion Breaking free of your captors You run to the edge of tomorrow
